In November 2004 we released Sunsets and Car Crashes in the Uk, the debut album by South Dakota’s The Spill Canvas. I have great memories of their first tour in the UK – including in Bridgend where the van broke down. It took me quite a while to get the AA to us and we spent quite a few hours in the middle of the night freezing our asses off while it poured down with good old Welsh rain. Nick, Landon and Joe though we’re so cool about it. They really are some of the nicest guys I ever worked with. The Spill Canvas are one of only two Mighty Atom bands which are still together. Today I have a 2015 session they did for Sixwill, a brilliant version of the lead track from Sunsets and Car Crashes. Do check this out 🙂
