Time for another gem from the archives - this time from the personal archives of Liberty 37. The boys dug out a rare live recording from their tour in Europe with Paradise Lost in 1999 from the Hard Club in Porto. From that show here is their cover of the most excellent PJ Harvey track Long Snake Moan. I have cleaned up and remixed the audio which has come out really well. The video was shot on very old school analog Video 8. Not great quality but fantastic to get this footage out there. I am just finishing up syncing the whole show so I'll upload that in the next few days.
Time for a little Valentines love for 3 Colours Red. This is Repeat To Fade live at the Garage in July 2004. This was an epic show - I remember it well. I was behind one of the video cameras :) I am currently editing the video for the whole show, so I'll post it all on YouTube when I'm done. Just before Christmas we shared a new Liberty 37 track - Legion, recorded back in 2002 as part of the initial sessions for their third album. I mentioned then we had a couple of other tracks from those sessions that we were working on with the band. Well we have now finished a total of four tracks. They came out so well we have decided to release them as an EP - the Legion EP - and it will be out on 2nd April on all good digital platforms. All four tracks sound epic as you would expect of the Libs and I'll post a preview in the new few days, but for now here is the lead track again - Legion.
So back in May last year we recorded the anniversary show for Come Morning We Fight at the O2 Academy in Islington. We are giving away a download of the whole show for anyone buying tickets for the Brigade tour in April this year. Details on the shows and tickets on the Brigade Facebook page. I found this video in the archive yesterday. The band, 3 Miles From recorded this EP - Division Demotion at Mighty Atom with Joe Gibb on the knobs. Having heard it we got a long way down the path to signing them, but in the end it didn't go ahead. I had a quick search on YouTube and this is not up anywhere so I thought I would upload as it's a pretty epic track, and quite a nice little video - enjoy.
This is the press kit that was produced for Funeral For a Friend just as they were signing from Mighty Atom to Infectious/Atlantic records. It was Infectious that actually put this together I guess early 2003 just as they were recording Four Ways To Scream Your Name. Cool insight to the band in the early days.
Here's the video for the Hollywood ending track Angel Town. This was meant to be a single release from the album Praying To Fiction. In the end we didn't release the single though I do remember doing artwork for it and so on, and we did commission this video. Anyhoo, this is a great track, a simple performance video but I do rather like this one. Sunday afternoon chill....
David R. Black - Empire Building. This was the first single for the album Hearts and Stars released in October 2006. Great band this - and well worth checking out some of their later work on YouTube if you get a chance.
